The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic

The first of the five Ram trucks available, going in order of starting MSRP, is the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. If you’ve looked ahead, you might have noticed that the next one is the 2019 Ram 1500 and that means you’re probably wondering what the difference is between these two. Quite simply, with each vehicle on the road, they are categorized by generations – major improvements and changes to a particular model are typically not just seen as a new year, but a new generation.

The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic is a fourth-generation Ram truck, while the 2019 Ram 1500 is the first model of the fifth generation. In other words, think of the 1500 Classic as continuing the 2018 model year, rather than starting an entirely new generation. The 1500 Classic is a light-duty pickup that starts at a very reasonable price with a powerful available 5.7L HEMI V8 engine that provides up to 395 hp and 410 lb.-ft. of torque. The Classic features an available 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7-inch color driver information display, and ample storage inside and in the bed.

If you’re more interested in all-new Ram trucks, then the 2019 Ram 1500 is a great place to start. Similar to the 1500 Classic, the 1500 is a light-duty pickup that gives you excellent power and performance without making any sacrifices. It has the same available 5.7L HEMI V8 engine that provides up to 395 hp and 410 lb.-ft. of torque, but the 2019 Ram 1500 is available with eTorque, which uses a mild hybrid system to improve overall performance. That gives the 1500 a maximum towing capacity of up to 12,750 lbs. or a maximum payload rating of up to 2,300 lbs.

Inside, the 2019 Ram 1500 has one of the most luxurious and impressive interior packages on the road, which helps set it apart from the previous generation and the 1500 Classic. The new Ram 1500 includes an available 12-inch touchscreen Infotainment display and a 7-inch color driver information screen. A 19-speaker Harman Kardon premium sound system is available, for an unbelievable driving experience, and a 10 sq. ft. dual-pane panoramic sunroof creates an incredible ride for people in the front and back seats alike.

The 2019 Ram 2500

If you need more power to get more work done from your Ram truck, then consider the 2019 Ram 2500, the first of two heavy-duty pickups that are available. As you might expect, what sets the heavy-duty models apart from the standard 1500 is the power that it packs and how that translates to incredible towing and payload capabilities. The 2019 Ram 2500 has an available 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel engine that provides up to 370 hp and 850 lb.-ft. of torque.

This beastly engine gives the Ram 2500 a maximum towing capacity of up to 21,560 lbs. and a maximum payload of up to 5,730 lbs. There is also a 6.5L HEMI V8 engine that offers 17,130 lbs. of maximum towing but a higher payload of up to 6,600 lbs, when properly configured. These amazing engine options are paired with gorgeous interior features like available 100% leather seating. Also, a center console large enough to store a 15-inch laptop with convenient wireless charging and active noise cancellation for a smooth ride. If you like listening to music, then consider the Ram 2500, and it’s available 17-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system to blow your mind completely!

The 2019 Ram 3500

Finally, if you want a standard pickup, but need the highest level of power and performance among the Ram trucks, there is the 2019 Ram 3500. This is the heaviest of heavy-duty pickups thanks to the available 6.7L High Output Cummins Turbo Diesel 16 engine that provides up to 400 hp and a staggering 1,000 lb.-ft. of torque. Adequately configured with this engine, the Ram 3500 has a maximum towing capacity of up to 35,100 lbs., along with a maximum payload of up to 7,680 lbs. What more needs to be said?

Of course, the 2019 Ram 3500 also has an insanely luxurious interior, as you’d expect, with available 100% leather interior and an available 12-inch touchscreen Infotainment display. The available RamBox Cargo Management System gives you more storage space with a 115-volt power outlet, so you can charge your equipment while you’re on the road. In case you’re worried about safety, worry not. The Ram 3500 has an available forward collision warning with active braking, an adaptive forward lighting system for better nighttime visibility, and adaptive cruise control with stop assist. If power, luxury, and safety are what you need, then the 3500 is the answer.

The 2019 Ram Chassis Cab

Finally, here’s something a little different in the 2019 Ram truck lineup. The Chassis Cab is not a traditional pickup, but instead a refined and impressive front cab with a platform on which you can build just about any kind of setup you need. Whether you are looking to put together a dump truck, a flat-bed for hauling machinery, or need a custom setup for your supplies and equipment, the 2019 Ram Chassis Cab is a great choice.

Two different engines are available, including the remarkable 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel engine that provides up to 360 hp and 800 lb.-ft. of torque. This gives the Ram Chassis Cab a maximum towing capacity of up to 35,220 lbs. and a maximum Gross Combination Weight Rating of up to 43,000 lbs. If that’s a lot more power than you need, there’s also a 6.5L HEMI V8 that can still give you more than 21,000 lbs. of maximum trailering for your truck.

There are lots of different customizable options with the 2019 Ram Chassis Cab, which is why it is so popular among our commercial customers looking for powerful work trucks. Thanks to improved Power Take-Off and a simple Vehicle System Interface Module, you can configure this cab into just about any setup you need. The fully flat frame makes it easy to customize the truck. There are two different cab types, four CA lengths, and nine wheelbases available, giving you an incredible array of options.

We know that just reading about all of these 2019 Ram truck options can be exciting. It is an impressive lineup! But we want you to bring that excitement to us, Frank Kent CDJR, and we will be happy to help you turn that excitement into reality when you drive off with your brand new Ram truck.
